"Dynamic Play" Weekend Workshop
Join us for a weekend of Dynamic Play where Capoeira will Contact Improvisation through workshops and open play!
Saturday takes place at GTAC and features two in depth workshops led by experts in their fields: Michael and Josh offer us Capoeira and Penny offers us Contact Improvisation…a chance to meet an unknown form or to see how the two can come together!
Saturday evening features a sharing of new work, details on how YOU could be part of it are below.
And Sunday is an open Roda and Jam in true @TGJ style, all happening at our home base KPC!!

Applications are sought for work-in-progress sharings of performance work inspired either by capoeira or contact improvisation (or both!) for @TheGlasgowJam's "Dynamic Play" weekend event in association with Capoeira Senzala Scotland.
Works 10 minutes or under, to be presented in GTAC (Govan) on the 22nd of February 2014 from 7pm onwards. These could be in the form of an improvised "score" you'd like to try out... something that has arisen from a jam (contact or less directly contact improv related!), a capoeira demonstration of a particular style or a song... the possibilities continue!
Works will be chosen by @TGJ with Capoeira Senzala Scotland. Please bear in mind there are minimal technical possibilities in the space.
Please submit to theglasgowjam@gmail.com with a 200 work proposal and brief bio of those involved by January 24th.
As part of this evening a demonstration by Senzala Blue (a high level!) cords will take place as well as work by Malandra and Caveria "Hoda" - a cross over work between Capoeira and Contact Improvisation.
